20-year-old charged with manslaughter and DUI after deadly Interstate 40 crash

A 20-year-old woman from Sallisaw, Cambre Wright, was taken into custody on multiple charges after a tragic accident on Interstate 40. The charges she faces include manslaughter, driving under the influence by an underage person, and DUI resulting in serious injury. The incident involved a collision between a black Toyota Camry and two semi-trucks, resulting in the unfortunate death of a passenger in one of the trucks. Troopers detected signs of alcohol on Wright and she admitted to consuming alcohol and using a THC vape pen earlier that day. She registered a blood alcohol concentration of 0.17, above the legal limit, and showed confusion about her location during the incident. Wright was later released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court for her arraignment on August 13.
