2 taken to hospital after serious crash involving stolen vehicle: Denver police
Denver (KDVR) -- Two people were taken to a hospital after a serious car crash in Denver involving three vehicles, one of which was stolen, Denver police said. The crash happened at 14th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, Denver police said Tuesday afternoon in a post on X. The southbound lanes of Federal are closed. A Denver police spokesperson told FOX31 that preliminary information indicates the at-fault driver was driving a stolen vehicle at a high rate of speed south of Federal and clipped two vehicles stopped in traffic. That driver lost control and crashed into a utility pole. The Denver Fire Department said crews extricated a pinned person in the crash. Photos the fire department posted on X showed several heavily damaged vehicles. The spokesperson said the driver of the stolen vehicle was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, and one of the drivers of the stationary vehicles was also taken to a hospital with possible serious injuries.
