2 seriously injured in motorcycle/vehicle crash in Davenport
Two people sustained serious injuries after a crash between a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle in Davenport last night. A news release from the Davenport Police Department said officers were dispatched to the scene of a serious motor vehicle accident at the intersection of W. 49th Street and N. Pine Street on May 26 at about 10:19 p.m. The collision involved a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. When officers arrived, they learned the driver of the motorcycle had sustained serious injuries and the motorcycle’s passenger had sustained serious, life-threatening injuries. Three occupants of the passenger vehicle sustained minor injuries. Emergency medical personnel took both people to a nearby hospital for treatment. There is no word on their condition. The crash is under investigation by the Davenport Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit.
