2 seriously injured after motorcycle crash in Coventry

Coventry police said two people were seriously injured after a crash involving a motorcycle on Thursday. Police said officers responded to New London Turnpike at Wendy Drive at around 6:03 p.m. for a report of a crash. According to officials, a male motorcycle driver and female motorcycle passenger were thrown several feet into the roadway due to the crash. The motorcycle also caught fire, which the neighbors extinguished, police said. Coventry police said the man and the woman were transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries. Coventry police said they are seeking additional witnesses to the collision, including anyone with dashcam footage or anyone who witnessed the alleged reckless operation of the blue Kawasaki motorcycle.
