2 killed in Middleboro highway crash
MIDDLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — Police are investigating a deadly crash that happened on I-495 in Middleboro Thursday afternoon. First responders rushed to I-495 North near the Cherry Street overpass around 12:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a single-car crash. The first responders found the vehicle on fire in the woods and worked quickly to extinguish the flames. Two victims — a man and a woman — were pronounced dead at the scene. The man was found outside of the burning vehicle and the woman was still sitting inside, according to police. Neither of the victims have been identified.
