2 killed, 5 hurt in 7-car collision in Prince George's County
Maryland State Police reported a tragic accident on Tuesday that resulted in the loss of two lives and injuries to five individuals in Prince George's County. The incident occurred at Maryland Route 202 at St. Joseph's Drive in the Largo area. According to police, a vehicle hit a curb, causing a chain reaction involving six other vehicles. The driver of the initial vehicle, along with four others, sustained injuries and were taken to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center. Sadly, Tara Gross, 50, from Camp Springs, and Dandra Byrd, 31, from Riverdale, lost their lives in the crash. Police suspect that speed played a role in the accident and are considering charges pending further investigation in collaboration with the Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office.
