2 injured in Daytona Beach crash, vehicle slams into building

The Daytona Beach Fire Department and the Daytona Beach Police responded to a crash on Saturday. DBFD says the accident at the intersection of Seabreeze Boulevard and North Peninsula Drive involved two vehicles, with one vehicle crashing into Goldfingers Aesthetics.Witnesses told WESH 2 that the driver in vehicle 1 ran a red light and hit vehicle 2 driving down Seabreeze Boulevard, causing her to swerve and crash right into the building. Autumn Oakes, a nurse practitioner at Goldfingers Aethetics says the Daytona Beach business was open with clients inside during the time of the crash. Oakes said a patient was being checked out, and two staff members were behind the desk when the crash occurred. The car pinned Oakes against the wall. She says she's still a little shaken up, but thankfully, she and everyone inside survived."I was thinking, oh my God, I'm going to die. I know that sounds crazy to think that, that quick. But like so many thoughts, like, in seconds. It was crazy," Oakes said. Firefighters say they immediately secured the vehicles and began treating injuries.
