Early Thursday in downtown Los Angeles, a violent collision resulted in two individuals being thrown from their vehicles. The crash, labeled as a "major injury" incident, occurred around 2:30 a.m. at the junction of East Olympic Boulevard and Naomi Avenue. According to a spokesperson from the Los Angeles Police Department speaking to KTLA, it is suspected that one of the vehicles involved in the collision ran a red light and collided with a forklift. Both the car driver and the forklift operator were ejected due to the collision's impact and were subsequently transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The individuals' identities have not been disclosed, and further details about the crash are pending as investigators continue their examination.
