2 drivers killed in Livermore crash Monday
(KRON) -- A head-on crash on Highway 84 in Livermore, locally named Isabel Avenue, killed both drivers Monday morning, according to authorities. Police responded to the crash between Vallecito Road and Kalthoff Common at 5:49 a.m. A Chevrolet pickup truck and a Honda were involved in the collision, the Livermore Police Department said. The Chevrolet was traveling northbound when it collided with the Honda traveling southbound, according to investigators. One vehicle reportedly caught fire after the crash, according to the CHP incident log. The identity of the drivers was not immediately released. The crash remains under investigation. The roadway was closed for several hours as investigators worked the scene. It has sine reopened as of 12:45 p.m.
