2 children, 1 adult dead after car crashes, flips over in Brooklyn

GRAVESEND, Brooklyn (PIX11) -- Two children and one adult were pronounced dead after being hit by a vehicle in Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon, police say. The incident happened at 1672 Ocean Parkway between Avenue P and Quentin Road just after 1 p.m. Six people were transported to local hospitals, emergency response teams say. Sources tell PIX11 News an Uber driver operating a Toyota Camry and another driver operating an Audi crashed into one another. The Audi was sent flying onto the nearby pavement and slammed into a tree, authorities said. The three victims who died at the scene appeared to be pedestrians, police said. The Uber was carrying two children and an adult, who were all taken to an area hospital in stable condition, officials report. According to fire officials, at least one person is still in critical condition, two have serious but non-life-threatening injuries, and three others have minor injuries.
