19-year-old dies from injuries in fatal crash in Iberia Parish
A tragic accident took the life of a 19-year-old in Iberia Parish, Louisiana. The incident occurred on U.S. 90 westbound near the off-ramp onto La. 675 when a Ford Fusion collided with a parked Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV). The young victim, Colbi Blanchard from Thibodaux, was a passenger in the Ford and sadly passed away from injuries sustained in the crash. Both drivers involved were wearing seat belts and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. While impairment is not suspected, authorities are looking into driver fatigue as a potential factor in the accident. Further investigations are ongoing.
