
18-year-old killed in single-car crash in Henry County
MOORELAND, Ind. - An investigation is underway after an 18-year-old boy was killed in single-car crash in Henry County Sunday morning. According to the Henry County Sheriff's Office, just after 2:30 a.m., deputies responded to the 9000 block of East County Road 450 North for a reported personal injury crash. Police reported a Jeep was driving at a high rate of speed when it ran off the road and hit several trees. The Jeep then flipped before coming to a stop, according to police. Deputies found 18-year-old Nicholas Harris, of New Castle, lying in the roadway. Deputies rendered aid to Harris, but was later pronounced deceased on scene, according to police. Investigators say alcohol and speed are suspected factors in the crash. No additional information was released. The incident remains under investigation.
