16 injured in school bus crash on Nameless Road

Officials have reported that multiple individuals were injured in a bus accident involving a Leander school district bus that occurred on Wednesday near Big Sandy Creek in northwestern Travis County. The crash involved a bus carrying 42 students and resulted in injuries to 15 children and 1 adult. The incident took place around 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday on Nameless Road in Travis County. The bus veered off the road and overturned, with officials noting that it is still unclear why the vehicle left the roadway. Despite the rainy conditions at the time, authorities are uncertain if the weather played a role in the crash. Although the bus was equipped with seatbelts, it is unknown if all the students were wearing them during the accident.
