15 people hurt in skydiving plane crash at Cross Keys Airport in Williamstown, NJ

Fifteen individuals who were aboard a skydiving plane are receiving medical attention following its crash at Cross Keys Airport in Williamstown, New Jersey. A spokesperson from Cooper University Hospital revealed that all 15 passengers were being treated for injuries, with three critical cases sent to the trauma center, eight with less severe injuries treated in the emergency department, and four individuals with minor injuries reuniting with their families in a waiting area. The incident, declared a mass casualty situation by emergency responders, occurred just before 5:30 p.m. and responders noted that some passengers were covered in jet fuel post-crash. Authorities praised the coordinated efforts of police officers, firefighters, and EMS crews, attributing the comprehensive medical response to a recent mass casualty training exercise carried out at the airport. Despite the severity of some injuries, Halter of the Gloucester County Office of Emergency Management noted the absence of reported fatalities among the passengers. The plane crash following engine trouble shortly after takeoff is under investigation by various agencies, including the FAA, NTSB, local police, and county prosecutor's office. The crashed Cessna 208B remains at the scene as authorities continue their investigations.
