13-year-old girl killed, woman airlifted in single-car accident near Lamar, according to coroner
A tragic incident occurred Thursday in Darlington County, S.C., as a 13-year-old girl lost her life and a woman was airlifted to the hospital following a crash near Lamar. According to Coroner Todd Hardee, the crash took place on Bay Branch Road as the girl was on her way to school. The single-vehicle accident involved a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer that veered off the road, striking a ditch and a tree. The South Carolina Highway Patrol, led by Lance Cpl.
