1-year-old boy killed in Webster County tractor-pedestrian collision
In Webster County, Missouri, a tragic incident occurred on June 28th, resulting in the death of a 1-year-old boy in a tractor-pedestrian collision. The crash took place at approximately 10:57 a.m. on Walnut Ridge Road, about 3.5 miles south of Seymour. According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 73-year-old man unintentionally backed up a 2023 John Deere 5403 Tractor without noticing the child. The young victim was swiftly transported by emergency services to CoxHealth Medical Center South in Springfield, where Dr. Andrew Wylie later pronounced him deceased at 12:22 p.m. Family members have been informed of the heartbreaking news. This marks the 54th fatality crash for Troop D in 2025. An earlier report had indicated the child's injuries as serious, but has since been updated to reflect his passing.
