
1 woman dead, 3 seriously hurt in wrong-way crash on Capital Boulevard in Wake Forest, police say
WAKE FOREST, N.C. (WNCN) — A three-car crash in Wake Forest late Tuesday night left one woman dead and three people seriously hurt, police said. According to the Wake Forest Police Department, the crash happened around 11:15 p.m. at Capital Boulevard/U.S. 1 and Star Road. One person died in the crash, according to Wake Forest police, and three people were transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Officers determined in their preliminary investigation that a man was driving southbound in a northbound lane on Capital Boulevard when he collided with two other vehicle. Officers said charges are pending against the wrong-way driver. The northbound lanes of Capital Boulevard and Star Road were closed from 11:45 p.m. Tuesday until early Wednesday morning around 3:45 a.m., according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
