1 person killed in motorcycle accident on I-26, according to SCHP
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently looking into a tragic motorcycle accident that took place on I-26 in Charleston County. The incident happened at approximately 7:29 p.m. on a Wednesday near mile marker 216. A Yamaha Motorcycle from 2023 was moving in the westbound direction when the rider tried to pass traffic from the right, hit a curb, and fell onto the road. Sadly, the rider, who was the only person on the motorcycle, passed away in the accident. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed by the Charleston County Coroner's Office.
