1 person killed in Amtrak crash en route to Mobile
In Gautier, Mississippi, a fatal collision occurred between an Amtrak train and a car on Thursday night, resulting in one person's death. The incident took place on Ladnier Road, just south of Highway 90, with the Mississippi Highway Patrol responding around 9:15 p.m. following a call from the Gautier Police Department. The Southern Rail Commission confirmed that it involved one of the Mardi Gras Service trains traveling from New Orleans to Mobile. Thankfully, all 55 passengers and four crew members on the train are reported unharmed by Amtrak.
