1 person killed, 1 person wounded in Hwy 30 collision with trailer truck
A fatal two-vehicle collision occurred on Monday night at the intersection of Northwest St. Helens Road and Northwest Bridge Avenue in Portland, Oregon. Portland police reported that one person has died and another has sustained serious injuries following the crash which happened before 7:30 p.m. The incident involved a vehicle colliding with the back of a stationary or slowing semi-trailer truck. The injured driver and passenger were taken to nearby hospitals, where the driver ultimately succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the semi-trailer truck has cooperated with authorities, who have closed Northwest St. Helens Road north of Northwest Bridge Avenue in both directions for further investigation.
