1 person killed, 1 person in recovery after two-motorcycle accident.
A man from De Pere has tragically passed away after a motorcycle accident in the Town of Franklin this past weekend. The incident led to another man from Brillion also losing control of his motorcycle. The accident occurred on Friday night on CTH G, north of Taus Road. The initial investigation revealed that the De Pere man, Tobin Rueckl, was operating a Harley Davidson motorcycle, and the Brillion man, Cody Zahn, was also riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Tobin lost control of his motorcycle, causing Cody to do the same. Tobin suffered fatal injuries, while Cody was seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital. Both individuals were not wearing helmets, and it was determined that alcohol and speed contributed to the crash. The Wisconsin State Patrol is currently reconstructing the crash, and further information will be provided once the joint investigation is concluded.
