1 person killed, 1 injured in Mesa car crash
According to Mesa Police Department, a fatal crash occurred in Mesa on Saturday morning near Val Vista Drive and Broadway Road. The incident involved a single vehicle with a man and a woman aboard. Regrettably, the woman passed away at the hospital, while the man sustained severe injuries. The crash resulted in damages to nearby residences due to bricks being displaced. Northbound Val Vista had to be closed off in that vicinity. Authorities have not disclosed the identity of the deceased woman, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation.
