1 person detained, 5 injured in accident at Raising Cane's in downtown Austin
A 21-year-old woman was taken into custody by the Austin Police Department after colliding with five pedestrians using a Ford F-150 truck near the Raising Cane's in downtown Austin. Four of the victims were hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries by Austin-Travis County EMS. The driver, Antonia G. Garcia Rios, is facing two counts of intoxication assault charges and has been detained in the Travis County Jail following the incident that took place early Friday morning at 2:25 a.m. Individuals with any relevant information are encouraged to report anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers Program or by contacting 512-472-8477.
