1 person dead, 1 critical after 3-car crash in Mon County
A fatal accident occurred on Grafton Road in Monongalia County on Wednesday evening, involving three vehicles. The collision led to the death of a woman from Pennsylvania and left a man from Preston County in critical condition in the intensive care unit. According to the Monongalia County Sheriff's Office, a serious crash involving a motorcycle, pickup truck, and SUV took place around 6 p.m. The SUV, driven by Chelsea Johnson of Uniontown, PA, crossed the center line and collided with the motorcycle and pickup truck. Johnson passed away at the scene, while the motorcycle driver was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital with severe injuries. The occupants of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries and were also transported to the hospital. The authorities are still investigating the incident and urge anyone with information or video footage to contact the Monongalia County Sheriff's office.
