1 killed in motorcycle, car crash in Dutchess County
PLEASANT VALLEY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Millbrook man is dead following a head-on crash with a car in Pleasant Valley on Saturday, according to New York State Police. The incident reportedly occurred in the area of Salt Point Turnpike and Van Wagner Road. Police were dispatched to the scene at about 2:45 p.m. following a report of a crash involving a three-wheeled motorcycle. After a preliminary investigation, authorities said a motorcycle was traveling westbound on Salt Point Turnpike when it crossed the double-yellow center line and hit a Mercedes-Benz head-on. The operator of the motorcycle, identified as 59-year-old William Coulston of Millbrook, was pronounced dead at Mid-Hudson Regional Hospital, according to police. The occupants of the Mercedes-Benz were reportedly not injured. An investigation into the crash remains ongoing, State Police said.
