1 killed in head-on crash near Huger
BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – A head-on crash in Berkeley County left a driver dead, troopers say. Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened just before 4 p.m. on SC 402 near Governors Lane in the Huger area. A 2017 Hyundai sedan was heading east on SC 402 when Trooper Ridgeway said it crossed the center line and struck an eastbound Ford pickup truck head-on. The driver of the Hyundai died at the scene. Their identity has not yet been released. Trooper Ridgeway said the driver of the Ford was not injured.
