1 killed, 2 injured in rollover accident on DuSable Lake Shore Drive, according to authorities
A tragic accident occurred on Sunday night on DuSable Lake Shore Drive in Chicago's Near South Side resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to two men. The 36-year-old woman, who was driving southbound, collided with the center median causing the vehicle to overturn between the northbound and southbound lanes. The driver was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center where she passed away. One of the male passengers, aged 29, sustained unknown injuries and was transported to Northwestern Hospital in good condition. The second male passenger, also 29 years old, suffered a hip injury and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition. A third passenger, a 33-year-old woman, was unharmed but taken to a local hospital as a precaution. The incident is under investigation by Area Three Detectives.
