A man was injured in a multi-vehicle crash on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge during the morning rush hour. The incident, which involved a tractor-trailer and four other vehicles, occurred on the bridge's northbound side at 6:45 a.m. on Thursday. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the tractor-trailer failed to stop in time and collided with a Kia Sportage and a Buick Envision. Subsequently, the Buick struck a Chevy Silverado, which then hit a Lexus GS350. The driver of the Silverado, a 25-year-old man from Wimauma, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported. The crash led to the closure of both northbound lanes on the Skyway Bridge, with the right lane reopening around 9:30 a.m. The names of the drivers involved were not disclosed by FHP.
