
1 individual sustains serious injuries in alcohol-related collision on Bourne Bridge, according to authorities
A serious drunk driving accident occurred on the Bourne Bridge late Friday resulting in one person being severely injured, as reported by Massachusetts State Police. At 9:30 p.m., a Ford F-250 collided with a SUV, leading to the closure of the bridge for approximately an hour. Emergency services transported three SUV occupants to nearby hospitals for treatment of various injuries, with one individual needing trauma care. The identities of the victims were not disclosed. Authorities have accused the truck driver, 37-year-old Garret Mullen from Lewiston, Maine, of drunk driving and illegal possession of a firearm. Mullen is scheduled to appear in Falmouth District Court on Monday to face multiple charges.
