1 individual airlifted following car crash near North Marion High School

Two individuals sustained injuries in a car crash on Husky Highway in Marion County on Friday morning. Emergency officials were alerted to a collision involving two vehicles and entrapment on W.Va. Route 250/Husky Highway, close to East Run Road around 6:53 a.m. The Marion County 911 Communications Center indicated that one person was airlifted to a medical facility, while another was taken by ground transportation. The severity of their injuries remains undisclosed. The Barrackville first responders facilitated the helicopter landing, and various other emergency services, including the Marion County Rescue Squad, Marion County Sheriff's Department, Grant Town EMS, Mannington Volunteer Fire Department, and Farmington Volunteer Fire Department, were involved in the response efforts.
