1 hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after east Las Vegas valley crash

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A person, who police said was not wearing a seatbelt, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a crash in the east Las Vegas valley, according to Metro police. On Saturday just before 4:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a crash in the area of Lake Mead and Lamb boulevards. Police said a vehicle failed to yield on a permissive yellow light and turned into an oncoming vehicle. One of the rear passengers was not wearing a seat belt and was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening head injuries. The intersection of Lake Mead and Lamb boulevards was closed as police conducted their investigation.
