1 fatality in solo-vehicle rollover on 5 Freeway in Anaheim
A fatal car accident occurred on Sunday night on the 5 Freeway in Anaheim, resulting in the death of one individual. The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m. on the northbound lanes close to the Euclid Street ramps, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The exact causes of the crash are still unknown, however, it involved an SUV that rolled over multiple times before coming to a stop on its side in the middle of the freeway, obstructing traffic. At the scene, SkyCal observed a long line of vehicles backed up for miles, while the victim's body was found nearby on the shoulder of the southbound lanes. Authorities have not provided an estimate for when the road will fully reopen, as they are currently investigating the incident and diverting traffic at Euclid.
