
1 fatality in crash involving car and 2 semis on I-70 WB
The westbound lanes of I-70 in Clayton, Ohio, have been reopened following a crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol Dayton Post informed WDTN that the incident occurred near mile marker 22, beyond Arlington Road in the westbound direction, around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Authorities stated that a Buick LeSabre was trying to turn left from the right lane of I-70 to reach the emergency vehicle crossover in the median. As the Buick made this maneuver, it was hit by a semi-truck. The impact caused the semi to collide with the trailer of another semi-truck. Tragically, the driver of the Buick, identified as 29-year-old Lavan Stark, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Brookville Fire and EMS. The crash, involving multiple vehicles, is currently being investigated. Following the accident, the westbound lanes were shut down for several hours, reopening at approximately 5 p.m.
