1 fatality, 9 injured in head-on collision: VSP
Virginia State Police reported that a fatal accident occurred on Route 13 in Accomack County, resulting in one death and eight injuries. The incident involved a southbound 2018 Subaru Impreza crossing into the northbound lanes and colliding head-on with a 2014 Toyota Sienna near Parks Road around 12:20 p.m. Sadly, one of the passengers in the Toyota, Gina Alvarez Dela Cruz, 42, passed away at the hospital. The driver, Leobert Samon Dela Cruz, and seven other passengers in the Toyota sustained injuries, while the Subaru driver was also seriously injured. Medical helicopters transported three of the injured to nearby hospitals. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
