1 fatality, 3 wounded in I-495 rollover accident in Oxon Hill
A fatal rollover accident on the outer loop of I-495 in Oxon Hill early Friday morning resulted in one fatality and three others suffering serious injuries. The incident occurred just before St. Barnabas Road at approximately 5:15 a.m. The Prince George’s County Fire/EMS reported that one person was ejected from the vehicle and tragically pronounced dead at the scene, while the three survivors were transported to the hospital with significant injuries that are not deemed life-threatening. Traffic was rerouted off the outer loop at MD-210, with vehicles directed onto MD-210 and MD-414 to reconnect with the Capital Beltway due to the closure. FOX 5’s Annie Mae highlighted delays of about four hours in the area. Authorities are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
