1 fatality, 1 severe injury in head-on collision in Clinton County
The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently looking into a head-on collision that took place in Clinton County last Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 11:02 a.m. on State Route 73 in Union Township, near Mile Post 6. It seems that a 19-year-old male driver of a 1998 Dodge Ram was headed east on State Route 73 when he failed to negotiate a turn properly. This caused him to cross over the median and collide with a 2023 Buick Enclave driven by 56-year-old Lisa Bush, who tragically lost her life in the crash. The young driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital. Another driver was also involved when debris from the crash disabled his vehicle, though he was unharmed. Several agencies, including the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, Wilmington Fire and EMS, Ohio Department of Transportation, and the Clinton County Coroner’s Office were present at the scene. The Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the accident.
