1 fatality, 1 person wounded in Carbon County crash
A tragic accident occurred on July 6, 2025, near Great Falls, resulting in the death of a young man from Park City and injuries to a woman from Roberts. The collision took place on Highway 310, about two miles north of Rockvale, as reported by the Montana Highway Patrol around 10:30 p.m. The 20-year-old man was driving a GMC Sierra pickup truck northbound when he collided head-on with the 29-year-old woman, who was traveling south in the wrong lane in a Jeep Cherokee. The crash caused the Jeep to overturn, while the GMC came to a stop on the roadside. The man, whose identity remains undisclosed, was wearing a seat belt and unfortunately died at the scene. The woman, who was not buckled up, was transported to a Billings hospital. The details of her injuries have not been revealed. Although the MHP suspects that alcohol and speed played a role in the collision, it is not specified which driver was affected by these factors.
