1 fatality, 1 person in critical condition after high-speed collision near 63rd and Winchester
A tragic incident occurred on Sunday evening in Kansas City, resulting in one fatality and another person sustaining severe injuries following a single-vehicle crash. The Kansas City Police Department reported that the accident happened when a white Dodge Challenger was speeding on 63rd Street around 8 p.m. The driver lost control near 63rd and Winchester Avenue, causing the vehicle to go off the road and flip in a grassy area. Both occupants, who were not wearing seat belts, were ejected from the car. They were rushed to the hospital in critical condition, with the driver sadly succumbing to injuries shortly after. The passenger remains in very critical condition. Investigations into the crash are currently underway.
