1 dead in San Jose ‘major vehicle collision’
(KRON) -- The San Jose Police Department is probing the city's ninth traffic fatality of the year after a "major vehicle collision" involving an overturned car on Saturday night. The incident happened just after 9 p.m. in the area of San Tomas Expressway and Moorpark Avenue. SJPD confirmed that one car occupant died at the scene from their injuries. Another victim was taken to a nearby hospital with major injuries, said police. Police said the road will remain closed for several hours and for commuters to avoid the area and take alternate routes. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
