1 dead following crash involving person on scooter in east Austin
AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police responded to a fatal crash Tuesday evening that involved a vehicle and a person riding on a scooter. According to APD, the crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of Airport Boulevard and Oak Springs Drive in east Austin. At the time of the crash, the intersection was closed for an investigation, but it had reopened by 1:15 a.m. Wednesday. The driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene, and police said no one has been arrested in connection with the incident. Both the driver of the vehicle and the person on the scooter were adults. The identity of the person who died has not yet been publicly released.
