A young girl is now recovering at home following an incident in Struthers, Ohio, where a parked vehicle she was in was struck by a woman suspected of driving under the influence. The two-year-old girl was properly secured in her car seat in a family SUV when another vehicle hit them from behind. The child's parents were outside the car at the time. The girl's mother expressed gratitude that her daughter was safely secured before the collision. The driver of the striking vehicle showed signs of being under the influence and was taken to the hospital for a cut on her face. The woman declined to have her blood alcohol content tested but was cited for operating a vehicle impaired and driving without control. Charges against her are pending.
