Wrong-way crash in Brighton results in 1 fatality, 1 critically injured; alcohol suspected
Brighton authorities are examining a head-on collision that occurred early Tuesday morning resulting in the death of a man and causing severe injuries to a woman. The incident, suspected to involve alcohol, took place at around 4 a.m. at the intersection of Mt. Bierstadt Street and E. Bridge Street. The man, identified as a 47-year-old, was driving in the wrong direction and collided with the woman's vehicle. The deceased's identity is being held until confirmed by the coroner and family notifications are made.
