Woman from Wilmer convicted in deadly crash last year
In connection to a deadly accident in 2021, Elizabeth Sprinkle, a Wilmer resident, has been convicted of criminally negligent homicide by a Mobile County jury. The incident involved the tragic death of tow truck driver Johnthan Neesmith, who was struck by Sprinkle while he was working to clear a vehicle from I-65. According to District Attorney Keith Blackwood, the verdict serves as a form of accountability, although it cannot erase the pain caused to Neesmith's family and the community. Sprinkle is scheduled to be sentenced on November 20th at 9 a.m.
