Woman from Louisville arrested in Florida for deadly 2020 DUI accident that resulted in the death of a 90-year-old in London
The Laurel County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a Louisville woman in Marion County, Florida by US Marshals on a charge of second-degree manslaughter related to a 2020 crash in London. Officials stated that Jessica Chambers, 35 years old, had fled to Florida but was apprehended after an investigation into the incident. It was revealed that Chambers was driving northbound on KY 30 and turned in front of a Toyota Avalon, leading to a collision in which the driver of the Avalon, 90-year-old George Sizemore, was fatally injured. Authorities found evidence suggesting Chambers was driving under the influence. Chambers is currently awaiting extradition to Laurel County following her arrest in Florida.
