Woman apprehended for involvement in Palm Beach County collision resulting in four fatalities

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported an arrest related to a fatal car crash in April. Jazmin M. Shope, 20, from Auburndale, was apprehended on Tuesday and is now facing four charges of vehicular homicide. Shope allegedly drove a Ford Taurus at a high speed, crashing into the passenger side of a Genesis G90 at the 17900 block of South Military Trail in Delray Beach on the night of April 21. The Genesis with four occupants was making a left turn into the Polo Club Shops when the collision occurred, causing the vehicle to hit a concrete utility pole. Sadly, all four occupants of the Genesis, identified as James L. Rose, 88; Gerald A. Levy, 92; Thelma I. Levy, 93; and Arlene Rose, 87, lost their lives at the scene. Shope and her passenger sustained serious injuries and were taken to Delray Medical Center. For more news updates, you can access the WPBF 25 News app.
