Weekend Car Accidents Result in Two Fatalities
Over the weekend, a 21-year-old man from Pierce City and a 57-year-old man from Marshfield tragically lost their lives in separate car accidents. The younger man's crash occurred on MO 97, 3 miles west of Purdy early Sunday morning, as his Ford F250 veered off the roadway, overturned, and he was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:05 a.m. The older man's accident took place on Highway OO, 5 miles west of Marshfield on Saturday afternoon when his Pontiac Firebird overturned after leaving the road. He was also found to not be wearing a seatbelt. The authorities have informed the families of both victims.
