Warwick student severely hurt in electric bike accident, university provides assistance
A young person riding an E-bike was struck by a car on Thursday and sustained critical injuries. The incident occurred on Church Road in Warwick Township near Forney Fields around 6:30 p.m. that evening. The cyclist has been identified as William Fenninger, who had recently started his junior year of high school just two days before the accident. Prior to Friday's football game, Will's teachers, friends, and peers gathered in the middle school cafeteria to show their love, support, and memories. Many attendees wore "LLW" in honor of Will and held signs displaying messages like "Warwick Strong" and "We Love You Will." According to the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police, the collision involved a car driven by a young person and an electric bike, confirmed to be operated by Will. The district informed parents that Will is currently in critical condition and his recovery is uncertain. A fundraising page set up by a friend describes Will as always cheerful and smiling. The police are actively investigating the incident, and the Warwick School District is providing support services to assist affected staff and students.
