Virginia man accused of causing fatal crash on Norris Bridge due to driving under the influence

A 30-year-old man from the Northern Neck has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal head-on collision that occurred on the Robert O. Norris Jr. Bridge in Lancaster County, Virginia. The man, identified as Jesse David Foster of Lancaster, is facing multiple charges including aggravated DUI manslaughter, reckless driving resulting in death, and DUI second offense within 5 years. The incident took place on a Sunday evening in July, when Foster allegedly attempted to pass another vehicle on the bridge at a high speed, causing a collision that resulted in the deaths of two individuals. Foster survived the crash and is currently in custody without bond. The investigation into the case is still ongoing. The Virginia Department of Transportation has since prohibited passing on the bridge following this and other recent accidents.
