Vermont state police charge Plaistow man in fatal crash
A man from New Hampshire has been accused in connection with a fatal accident in Vermont, according to Vermont State police. The incident occurred on Interstate 91 in Thetford, when a Pontiac GTO driven by Joseph Hamilton of Plaistow collided with a guardrail while traveling south. The passenger, a 27-year-old from Pepperell, Massachusetts, tragically lost their life in the crash. Hamilton sustained serious injuries and was transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. Two children, aged 8 and 5, who were also in the vehicle, were taken to the medical center as a precaution. Hamilton has been charged with Gross Negligent Operation-Death Resulting and the investigation is ongoing. Witnesses to the accident are encouraged to contact Trooper Rodzel at 802-222-4680.
