Two teenagers in Wellsville killed in crash
Two young individuals tragically lost their lives in a car accident in Allegany County over the weekend. According to New York State Police, the driver of an SUV lost control on a sharp turn on Tarantine Boulevard in Wellsville, colliding with a utility pole. The passengers, Derrick Smith and Gavin Odell, both aged 17 and 18 respectively and from Canisteo, were pronounced dead at the scene. Four other teens in the vehicle sustained minor injuries. While the incident is being investigated, authorities have not found any indications of impairment as a contributing factor.
